>PEER REVIEWING |
The Scientific Press® adheres to the following peer-reviewing procedure:
Each manuscript accepted for peer review is assigned an identification number, which replaces the name and the institutional affiliation of the author. The purpose of the ID number is to trace the manuscript throughout the review and publication process, and also maintain author’s anonymity by preventing reviewers from bringing personal bias.
The research quality of the manuscript is reviewed by two or three reviewers whose names are not being disclosed.
The purpose of the peer review process is to:
1. verify the topic’s importance and the originality to the field
2. verify the accuracy and validity of the content
3. verify the clarity of the ideas expressed
4. assess the paper’s contribution in arts and sciences
5. assess the overall impression.
The papers along with the recommendations of the reviewers are returned to the editorial staff. Upon reviewing the recommendations of the reviewers the editorial staff may decline the opportunity to publish, request a third-party evaluation, request additional revision by the author, or accept the manuscript as it is.
The editorial decision is conveyed to the author who may ask for a copy of the review. In this case, the identity of the reviewers will not be revealed.
Authors may contact the editorial staff any time during the process, asking questions regarding the status of their manuscript. |
